FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: gyrocompass system includes a rotating shaft, an actuator, the rotor of which is connected to the rotating shaft, and the stator is connected to the gyrocompass body, the first and the second gyroscopes, the axes of which are mutually orthogonal, installed on the rotating shaft, the first and the second accelerometers, the axes of which are mutually orthogonal, installed on the gyrocompass body, the third gyroscope installed on the gyrocompass body, an onboard computer comprising an orientation angle generating unit, a suspension controlling unit, a calculating and self-compensating unit for the azimuth error determination, a gyroscope signal switching unit, a parameter orientation switching unit, and a control device. The actuator provides rotation of the rotating shaft in the angular range of ±180°. The outputs of the first and the second gyroscopes are respectively connected to the first and the second inputs of the calculating and self-compensating unit for the azimuth error determination, which is connected to the output of the orientation angle generating unit and the output of the suspension controlling unit, the output of the calculating and self-compensating unit for the azimuth error determination is connected to the orientation angle generating unit for the onboard computer and the suspension controlling unit, the input of the orientation angle generating unit is connected to the output of the suspension controlling unit, the input of the actuator is connected to the output of the suspension controlling unit, which is connected to the output of the onboard computer controlling device.
