FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing mixed alcoholates of alkali and alkali-earth metals. Method includes first reaction of a mixture of barium and potassium hydroxides, taken in equivalent ratio of barium hydroxide: potassium hydroxide, equal to 1.0:(0÷4.0), with amino alcohol or a mixture of amino alcohol with tetrahydrofurfuryl alcohol in a hydrocarbon solvent in equivalent ratio of barium and potassium hydroxides: hydroxyl groups of alcohols, equal to 1.0:(1.2÷1.4). Further, method includes adding to reaction mass of metallic sodium (lithium) and calcium (magnesium) in equivalent ratio unsubstituted hydroxyl group: sodium (lithium): calcium (magnesium), equal to 1.0:(0.2÷0.8):(1.0÷0.2) at 118-120 °C.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain barium-containing mixed alcoholates intended for use as a cocatalyst of initiators of anionic (co)polymerisation.
