SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of producing metals that are used in (co) polymerization of conjugated dienes and vinyl aromatic compounds as the modifiers of organolithium initiators. The method consists in the interaction of metal hydroxide with alcohol or a mixture of alcohols having a boiling point of more than 150°C, in a hydrocarbon solvent and subsequent introduction of an alkaline earth metal. Herewith a mixture of sodium, potassium and barium hydroxides is used as metal hydroxide in the equivalent ratio NaOH:KOH:Ba(OH)₂ equal to 1.0:[0-50.0]:[0-100.0], the interaction of metal hydroxide with alcohol or a mixture of alcohols is carried out at an equivalent ratio of a hydroxyl alcohol group: metal hydroxides of 1.0:[0.5-0.7] at the temperature of 100-150°C with additional heating of the reaction mass for 2-2.5 hours at the temperature of 115-120°C, and calcium or magnesium is used as alkaline earth metal, the introduction of which is carried out at an equivalent ratio of an unsubstituted hydroxyl group: alkaline earth metal of 1.0:[1.0-1.2].

EFFECT: production of polymetallic alkoxides of alkali and alkaline-earth metals with a high concentration of the basic substance.
