FIELD: petrochemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antirust zinc silicate paints and can be used in petrochemical industry, agriculture, construction, power engineering, mining, railway, river and sea transport, as well as in military and space-mission both as independent coating, and primer in combination with traditional paints in complex protection systems. Paint contains high-modulus sodium silicate solution, with modulus 4.0-4.3, density of 1.19-1.21 g/cm3 and filler. Paint contains filler in form of talc, or chalk, or kaolin and additionally zinc white in following ratio of components, wt%: zinc powder - 35-40; aqueous solution of sodium silicate - 38-42; zinc oxide - 10.3-14.2; talc - 5.8-9.7.
EFFECT: invention provides high adhesion of zinc silicate coatings on smooth, defatted, metal surfaces without preliminary abrasive processing with low content of zinc in paint.
