FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical and petroleum-chemical industry, in agriculture, construction, energy engineering, mining industry, as well as in objects of military and space purpose. High-modulus liquid sodium glass with modulus 3.8-4.5 is obtained by hydrothermal processing of suspension of caustic alkali and silica with particle size (10-40)*10-6 m under atmospheric pressure and temperature 97-99°C with mixing solution with simultaneous circulation. At the first step the process is performed at temperature 70-75°C and density 1.22-1.26 g/cm3 for 30-40 minutes, and at the second - at temperature 97-99°C and density 1.18-1.22 g/cm3 for 20-30 minutes. Device for obtaining high-modulus liquid glass is made in form of rectangular bath 1, the bottom 2 of which serves as "jacket" with heat-carrier and heating elements 4. To perform mixing device is equipped with submersible ultrasonic radiator 6 and pump 5, providing circulation. The surface of heating and bottom of ultrasonic radiator 6 are parallel and are made with inclination angle, tangent of which equals 0.075-0.100.
EFFECT: inventions make it possible to reduce duration of the process and simplify it, as well as to reduce energy consumption with high quality of high-modulus liquid sodium glass.
