FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing HMLG with a module of 3.8-4.5 and a density of 1.18-1.22 g/cm3 includes hydrothermal treatment of a suspension of finely dispersed silica with a particle size of (10-70)*10-6 m and sodium hydroxide with stirring, the process being carried out in an autoclave at the pressure of 0.0-1.5 atm and the temperature of 90-120°C, and stirring of the suspension is carried out with a stirrer (s) providing turbulent mixing of the reaction medium. The method is carried out in the device comprising an autoclave including a cylindrical vessel 1 with a lid 2, a bottom provided with a heat carrier 4 and heating elements 5, a shaft provided with a stirrer (s) 6 inside the vessel, means for loading the reagents 7, discharging the target product 8 and pouring the heat-transfer medium 9, the shaft being rotatably mounted to the stirrer (s) providing turbulent mixing of the reaction medium.
EFFECT: accelerating the brewing process.
