FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for remote analysis of atmosphere based on use of Doppler effect and use of phase-shift keyed signals, and can be used for measurement of wind velocity. Method is carried out using a device including drive, receiving channels (1, 2, respectively) and range selection channel (3). Drive channel (1) generates radiation frequency of oscillations f0, which binary phase-shift keyed with a pseudorandom sequence with duration T with elementary signal Te. T/Te=N*, where N* is sampling rate of measurement transmissions in time. Simultaneously in drive channel (1) is generated a similar signal with frequency shift f0+fcm, that of type FMN(f0+fcm). Input reflected signal has frequency type f0+fDoppler. Input reflected signal is multiplied in first case with output signal τ range, and in second case - τ range +
