FIELD: ship building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, and concerns ice breakers operation during ice-going vessels towing in waters with ice cover, namely vessels with bulge bow. Ice breaker aft part has underwater end and surface end, overhanging counter with installed in it propeller with cowl, rudder control system. Surface end is made with external edge and aft cutout, provided with boat fender, to accommodate ice-going vessel nose towed by “close-by” method. Towed ship nose part is made with bulge. Ice breaker aft surface end is extended by value, equal to, at least distance between propeller fairing and ice breaker aft surface end outer edge before elongation, with formation of space between towed ship bulge bow and propeller.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of operational reliability of ice breaker towing of ice-going vessels having bulge bow.
