Method at least partially executed on a computing device for providing failure response due to connectivity loss in a communication system comprises steps of: receiving a user action from a user interface of a communication application; determining a failure to provide received action to a server due to connectivity loss; and determining a timing and a type of surfacing of a failure notification based on at least one from a set of: type of failure, whether other actions depend on received action's success, time since action was received, a device on which action was received, a user profile, a usage, a type of action, and a type of facilitated communication.

EFFECT: technical result consists in formation of correct notifications for user.
