FIELD: ceramic industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bonding ceramic materials to form a ceramic bonding layer and can be used in production of complex-shape ceramic structures for power machine building, engine production, aerospace equipment. Composition for bonding ceramic composite materials based on silicon carbide contains powder of crystalline silicon, carbon-containing material - soot or artificial graphite, powder of amorphous boron and silicon carbide powder in following ratio, wt%: Si - 30-33 and 34-38, C - 18-19 and 21-22, B - 5-12 and 13-15, SiC - balance. Composition is used for bonding ceramic composite materials based on silicon carbide under conditions of formation of silicon carbide from carbon and silicon.
EFFECT: bond is resistant to sharp thermal cycles and maintains shear strength of not less than 21 MPa.
