FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing flexible polyurethane foam. Method involves conducting a reaction between polyisocyanate and a polyol composition with isocyanate index 95-125 in presence of water, a reactive tertiary amine-based catalyst containing at least one hydrogen atom reactive relative to isocyanate, and a catalyst based on zinc carboxylate. Herewith the polyol composition contains polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene-polyol (a1) characterized by the oxyethylene content of 50-95 wt. % by weight of (a1) and polyoxypropylene-polyol (a2) with the weight ratio between polyols (a1) and (a2) within the range from 90:10 to 50:50.
EFFECT: using in the method of zinc carboxylates in combination with reactive catalysts based on tertiary amine allows considerably reducing the level of volatile organic compounds (VOC) in the obtained flexible foamed polyurethane, as well as achieving the desired combination of mechanical properties and characteristics of durability.
