FIELD: nanotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to method of producing nano-sized polyurea particles or dispersions of polyurea particles. Said particles are characterized by values of equivalent diameter of 50-700 nm, narrow particle size distribution in equivalent diameter ratio of urea links and urethane bonds in said particles of 90:10 and glass transition temperature (Tg) of > 100 °C. Method involves step of reaction of reactive with respect to isocyanates monoamine component with polyisocyanate component to form urea-modified polyisocyanate component and then stage of addition of urea-modified polyisocyanate component to diamine component to make polyurea particles.
EFFECT: these particles and their dispersion are used to increase hardness during compression, ultimate tensile strength and ultimate tensile strength during tension of flexible polyurethane foam.
