FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a curable polyurethane composition having a reduced level of aldehydes release. Said composition contains at least one component which is reactive with respect to isocyanates, an auxiliary reagent, as well as one or more amine components. Auxiliary reagent is selected from group (i) a mixture of cyclic urea, substituted with at least one isocyanate-reactive group, and a free-radical scavenger which contains phosphite, and optionally a polymer acid or (ii) only a polymeric acid. Polymeric acid is any compound containing in its structure three or more identical repeating monomers based on unsaturated carboxylic acid or its anhydride. Cyclic urea is a compound of formula (I)

where substituents R", R0', R1', R2', R3', R4', independently selected from H, OH, R11'OH, R11' is a C1-C4-alkyl group, and additionally provided that at least one of substitutes R' or R0' is H, and provided that at least one of substituents R0', R1', R2', R3', R4' is OH or R11'OH. One or more amine component has structure in accordance with structural formula

wherein each of said substitutes R4, R5, R6 and R7 independently of each other is -H or -CH3.
EFFECT: obtained composition reduces the amount of aldehydes released from polyurethane foams obtained using said composition.
