SYSTEM AND METHOD OF REDUCING BRIGHTNESS BASED ON THE MAINS SIGNAL OF SOLID-STATE LIGHTING MODULE Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC H05B33/08

Abstract RU 2604869 C2

FIELD: lighting.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control over solid-state lighting devices. Result is achieved by the fact that a brightness reduction system on the basis of the mains voltage, of a solid-state lighting module includes a transformer, a mains voltage measurement circuit and a processing circuit. Transformer includes a primary winding connected to a circuit of the primary winding and a secondary winding connected to a circuit of the secondary winding, herewith the circuits of the primary and the secondary windings are separated by an insulating sleeve. Mains voltage measurement circuit receives the mains rectified voltage from the circuit of the primary winding and generates a signal of the mains voltage measurement indicating the mains rectified voltage amplitude. Processing circuit receives the mains voltage measurement signal from the mains voltage measurement circuit through the insulating sleeve and transmits a reference signal of brightness reduction to the circuit of the secondary winding in response to the mains voltage measurement signal. Light generated by the solid-state lighting module connected to the circuit of the secondary winding is adjusted in response to the reference signal of brightness reduction transmitted by the processing circuit.

EFFECT: technical result is enabling reduction of brightness of light emitted by LEDs basing on the mains voltage.
