SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a smoking article and to a method for manufacturing a smoking article. Smoking article comprises a first filtering section; second filtering section located downstream of the first filtering section, wherein the first filtering section contains a material with the first pressure drop per a length unit, and the second filtering section contains a material with the second pressure drop per a length unit, which is larger than the first pressure drop per a length unit; and ventilation system to ensure the input of selectively variable quantity of ventilating air.

EFFECT: technical result is obtaining of variable size for effective flow passage of ventilation, allowing obtaining variable air inflow.
