FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to a method for diagnosing POEMS-syndrome in patients suffering from multiple myeloma or Castleman disease. Method comprises biopsy of the target affected organ tissue and staining lymph node sections with haematoxylin and eosin. Then CD138+ plasma cells are being calculated on them. Areas of blood vessels relative to the whole section observation area is being additionally calculated, and if this indicator is more than 30 % of the section observation area, POEMS-syndrome is being diagnosed.
EFFECT: using said method provides early diagnosis of POEMS-syndrome in patients suffering from multiple myeloma or Castleman disease for timely prescription of chemotherapy.
