FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to pathological anatomy, reproductology, obstetrics and gynaecology, and can be used to determine the degree of manifestation of chronic endometritis (CE). That is ensured by taking an endometrial biopsy on 7th-11th day of the menstrual cycle. Sections are prepared for histological examination, stained with haematoxylin and eosin, followed by histochemical staining according to Mallory for diagnostics of stroma fibrosis and immunohistochemical reaction with monoclonal antibodies to CD138, von Willebrand factor, vWF and VEGF. Degree of manifestation of chronic endometritis is determined by the presence of fibrosis in the stroma of the functional layer of the endometrium and morphometric data: counting the number of stained plasma cells CD138, evaluation of VEGF expression, determined by qualitative – weak, moderate and pronounced cytoplasmic expression – and by semi-quantitative methods – percentage of stained cells to all cells in endometrial glands and surface epithelium per 1 visual field at 400 magnification, counting number per 1 visual field of blood vessels with pronounced expression of the von Willebrand factor marker, vWF. Obtained data are then evaluated in points. Obtained points are summed up. If the total score is 10-12 points, the presence of severe chronic endometritis is determined. If the total score is 6-9 points, the presence of moderate chronic endometritis is determined, the total score is 2-5 points, the presence of low-grade chronic endometritis is determined, the total score being 0-1 points indicates that chronic endometritis is unlikely.
EFFECT: invention provides higher sensitivity of verifying the degree of manifestation of CE and assessing the blood supply of the functional layer in females for predicting the therapeutic approach to CE and a positive pregnancy outcome in the patients with a history of abnormal uterine bleeding and menstrual irregularities caused by CE.
