FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to analytical chemistry and concerns a method for quantitative determination of metoclopramide in medicinal forms, water and biological fluids. Proposed method comprises adding to an analysed sample 20 g of ice, 1 cm3 of 0.1 % aqueous sodium nitrite solution and 1 drop of 36 % hydrochloric acid solution. Solution of chromotropic acid obtained by dissolving 0.04 g chromotropic acid in 20 cm3 water is added with addition of 1-2 into sodium carbonate grain and 20 g of ice. Further, method comprises adding 2 cm3 of 0.5 % aqueous sodium hydroxide solution, bringing volume of azo compounds to 100 cm3, photometry at wave length 520 nm. When determining metoclopramide in tablets, tablet of preparation is dispersed in water, when determining metoclopramide in urine in 50 cm3 urine is added 0.1 cm3 10 % trichloracetic acid solution and centrifuged.
EFFECT: use of method provides high-accuracy of determination of metoclopramide in different substances.
