FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used during seismic events. According to the present disclosure, translation data in the first direction are measured by particles motion sensors contained in an elongated body of the sensor located on the ground surface. Particles motion sensors are spaced apart along the second, different, direction along the longitudinal axis of the above said elongated body. Rotary motion data about the third direction are calculated based on, at least partially, calculating the gradient of translation data in relation to the second direction.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of the obtained data.
