SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used for seismic works. Data on rotation and translation are received by at least one motion transducer. Wave field velocity representation is defined on the basis of data on rotation and translation. Wave field velocity representation comprises imaginary slowness of wave field along second horizontal axis or imaginary wave field velocity along second horizontal axis. Note here that said second horizontal axis is perpendicular to the first one. Imaginary slowness or imaginary wave field imaginary velocity is based on wave field incidence angle relative to vertical axis and on actual velocity of wave field. Determination of imaginary slowness along second horizontal axis or imaginary velocity along second axis comprises computation of relationship between data on rotation about first horizontal axis relative to data on translation.

EFFECT: higher accuracy of data.
