SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to coating compositions. Described is a coating composition obtained using a method including: a) reacting an epoxidised vegetable oil with a hydroxyl functional material in presence of an acid catalyst and a solvent to form hydroxyl functional oil polyols; b) mixing hydroxyl functional oil polyols with a functional polyolefin copolymer to form a mixture; c) reacting mixture with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer component in presence of an initiator to form a graft copolymer; and d) crosslinking graft copolymer with a crosslinker to form coating composition. Also described is a method of coating a substrate, involving: a) reacting an epoxidised vegetable oil with a hydroxyl functional material in presence of an acid catalyst and a solvent to form hydroxyl functional oil polyols; b) mixing hydroxyl functional oil polyols with a functional polyolefin copolymer to form a mixture; c) reacting mixture with an ethylenically unsaturated monomer component in presence of an initiator to form a graft copolymer; d) crosslinking graft copolymer with a crosslinker to form coating composition and e) applying coating composition to substrate.. Described is a substrate coated with said composition.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining a coating composition, having higher strength, flexibility, corrosion resistance, resistance to turbidity.
