FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroxylfunctional oil-based polyols, compositions for coating application, formed on their basis, methods of applying coatings on substrates of surfaces by means of said compositions, in particular on packing materials and the like for storage of food products and drinks, and to substrates, covered with said compositions. Hydroxylfunctional oil-based polyols can be obtained by interaction of epoxidised vegetable oil with hydroxylfunctional material in presence of acidic catalyst, which includes strong acid. Compositions for coating application can be obtained by cross-linking of hydroxylfunctional oil-based polyols by cross-linking agent. Polyol does not include compound, which has (meth)acrylate functional group.
EFFECT: obtaining hydroxylfunctional polyols.
