FIELD: glass.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel optical glass-like quartzoid materials technology, having luminescence in wide spectral range, and can be used in production of fibre-optic guides with laser generation in infrared spectral range and various devices on their basis for fibre-optic communication lines components optimization. Disclosed is method of bismuth-containing quartzoid glass producing based on nano-porous high-silica glass (NPG). Method involves introduction in NPG pore space matrices in several stages by 24 hours at 22±2 °C of 0.5M solution of Bi(NO3)3, drying of samples at 30-65 °C for 40-60 minutes. Impregnated and dried samples are subjected to multistage heat treatment in air atmosphere in electric furnace. At that, samples are placed on substrate from high-purity quartz glass and heated for 5 minutes using oxygen-hydrogen burner, which is supplied from quartz substrate side.

EFFECT: invention ensures production of glass-like quartzoid bismuth-containing materials to form different bismuth active centers (BAC) in them, including the IR luminescence centers.
