SUBSTANCE: invention relates to information display system, wherein data for multimedia information are printed in form of optically readable dot pattern, and a dot pattern printed material. Information display system includes a dot pattern printed material including a dot pattern having coordinate position code information. Dot pattern is printed on a printing object through gravure printing in a less visible and optically readable manner. System includes optical reading means, information transfer means for transferring, to a server device, coordinate position code information that is read by optical reading means. Server device for outputting associated information that is accumulated in advance in association with coordinate position code information and information display means for displaying associated information output from server device. Dot pattern printed material is obtained by printing dot pattern through gravure printing with carbon black ink on a black printing layer that is formed with cyan ink, magenta ink, and yellow ink. Dot pattern printed material comprises an outer sheet, black printing layer printed on a back surface of outer sheet through gravure printing, dot pattern printed on black printing layer through gravure printing, a white ink layer printed on dot pattern with white ink through gravure printing, and an inner sheet provided on white ink layer. Coordinate system of dot pattern is printed in a state of being inverted with respect to a coordinate system viewed from a front surface side of outer sheet so that dot pattern is read by optical reading means through outer sheet from front surface side of outer sheet.
EFFECT: technical result consists in creation of an information display system and dot printed material, which are configured for simple information display only by reading dot pattern, easy updating of information and printing less visible dot pattern.
