FIELD: leather manufacture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacture of decorated natural leather and decorated leather items. The method of manufacture of decorated leather is comprised of stages of application of a base coat on a crust; ink-jet printing a decorative image on the base coat using one or several types of pigmented jet ink; and application of one or several identification codes wherein one or several identification codes are applied by jet-ink printing.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of leather manufacture.
