Method of document protecting includes step of message encoding to provide redundancy, step of cells digital information matrix generating, which is encoded message by changing matrix cells appearance, wherein encoded message contains redundancy, stage of matrix printing on document, step of printed matrix information units capturing, stage of error coefficient measurement in printed encoded message by captured information units decoding using redundancy in encoded message and step of decision making threshold determining on errors coefficient in accordance with measured error coefficient such that document having printed information matrix, which is message, with errors coefficient higher than decision making threshold on error coefficient, will be considered as copy.
