FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to instrument-making and can be used to obtain information on glacier melting and temperature in its thickness. Device contains thermistor chain from temperature sensors, located at known equal distance from each other, and which are in series connected to each other with flexible cable. At that, temperature sensors and their connection cables are arranged in protective housing, which is made from polymer shell, and upper temperature sensor is connected to data reading, storage, processing and displaying device. Novelty is in fact, that every n temperature sensors are combined into rigid segments, which are arranged at known equal distance from each other, providing equal distance between temperature sensors. Upon that, rigid segments are interconnected by flexible connections so, in according to ice melting device segments protruding above surface were folding by gravity. For reading, storage, processing and displaying of obtained data controller is used. Additionally, device is equipped with satellite positioning signal receiver for studying of glacier motion.
EFFECT: technical result is expansion of device functional capabilities.
