DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSTIC TECHNIQUE FOR ARTERIAL AND VENOUS ISCHEMIC STROKES Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61B5/00 A61B8/06

Abstract RU 2606597 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, neurology, ultrasound diagnostics and can be used in patients with acute cerebral blood circulation disorder (ACBD) for differential diagnosis of arterial and venous nature of stroke. Method involves analysis of values of rating scales of patient's neurological status and instrumental research methods. Evaluation is represented by visual analogue scale, instrumental method of examination is ultrasound. Probability of venous or arterial ischemic stroke is calculated by formula: where X1 is intensity of headache in patient, defined by visual analogue scale, X2 is ultrasound index of arteriovenous cerebral blood flow ratio, 0.856 and 0.192 are regression coefficients, 4.626 is constant. In case of values of P more than 0 but less than 0.5 arterial ischemic stroke is diagnosed. If P is equal to or more than 0.5 to 1.0, venous cerebral stroke is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides early differential diagnosis of character of cerebral affection in acute stroke.
