FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a composition for making a foamed material. Composition contains tannins of flavonoid type, primarily of prorobine-di-thynidine and/or profiz-thynidine type, in the amount of 40–45 wt% of the composition, furfuryl alcohol in the amount of more than 20 wt% of the composition, water, a foaming agent and a catalyst, herewith does not contain formaldehyde. Also proposes are an organic foamed material based on tannins and a method of its production.
EFFECT: this composition allows to produce a foamed material with high characteristics, which is cheap and can be used in construction and automotive industry.
