SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods for acquiring system information relating to a cell and processing information on autonomous gaps. Method in user equipment for acquiring system information relating to a cell in a radio communication network, which cell is served by a network node comprises: receiving signals at more than one downlink carrier simultaneously; creating autonomous gaps on selected one of said downlink carriers; acquiring system information of cell on selected downlink carrier using created autonomous gaps. Selected downlink carrier is determined based on at least one of: indication received from a network node, which specifies selected downlink carrier selected by network node; and a predetermined rule, which specifies selected downlink carrier.

EFFECT: technical result is improvement of efficiency of communication network.
