FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, particularly, to method to stop abdominal cavitary hemorrhage, to agent to perform bleeding control and to devices for preparation and delivery of said agent into abdominal cavity. Method involves introduction into cavity of self-expanding polyurethane foam, produced by polyol and isocyanate components of certain composition mixing directly in devices for foam delivery into cavity. Polyol and isocyanate components mixing is performed at ratio from more than 3.5:1 to 4.0:1. Design of proposed devices allows adding hemostatic agents into mixture. At that, foam is added in amount sufficient for cavity filling and generating hemostatic compression in it. After that to maintain hemostatic compression abdominal cavity walls excursion is limited. Disclosed foam has elastic structure with open-cellular porosity and low-adhesion and hydrophilic properties.
EFFECT: invention provides elimination of side effects and complications associated with possible internal organs and tissues damage when using medical polyurethane foam, and can be used in emergency military surgery, traumatology and other areas of emergency casualties care.
