FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to propulsion units of aircrafts. Propulsion unit (100) of an aircraft contains electrical drive device (140) made with the possibility of bringing into rotation of turbine rotor (104a, 104b), contains electrical generator (142a, 142b) and electrical engine (146). The electrical generator is made with the possibility of conversion of a part of energy of a flow coming from gas generators (102a, 102b) into electric power. The electrical engine is made with the possibility of bringing into rotation of at least one of turbine rotors (104a, 104b). Electrical generator (142a, 142b) is installed on one of mentioned gas generators (102a, 102b). The turbine rotor is made with the possibility of being brought into rotation by the flow coming from mentioned gas generators (102a, 102b) and electrical drive device (140) at the same time.
EFFECT: improvement of maintenance of the minimal level of thrust, increase in the reliability in case of failure of part of a propulsion unit, reduction in polluting emissions.
