FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used in geodesic instrument making in devices for measuring angular coordinates of aircraft. For this purpose a selection device includes a differential frame random-access memory unit, a unit for calculating differences of video frames of the second order, a unit of comparing differences of video frames and a unit for generating a resulting frame. As the result provided is extraction of both bright and dark targets corresponding to the same frame, herewith provided is extraction of targets with different brightness relative to the background without the effect of "delay" of target images, brightness of which is lower than the background brightness on the resulting frame.
EFFECT: expansion of functional capabilities.
