FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of food composition in nutrition of infants and children. Composition contains a sphingophospholipid, preferably sphingomyelin and/or a degradation product thereof, and at least fructooligosaccharides and galactooligosaccharides. Degradation product is selected from a group, consisting of ceramide, lysosphingophospholipid, sphingoid phosphate, and free sphingoid base. Composition is used for normalising intestinal microbiota to state of microbiota of healthy slim individuals and/or breastfed infants.
EFFECT: normalisation of intestinal microbiota in respect to at least one characteristic, selected from reduction of ratio Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes and/or reduction of ratio Clostridia/Bacteroidetes and reduction of ratio of Enterobacteria/total content of bacteria.
