FIELD: geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used for marine seismic survey. Method and device for obtaining sea seismic data to create images or determine characteristics of underground formations are connected by signal sources. While using multiple simultaneously switched signal sources, time, required for seismic exploration, is reduced as result of increase of ship speed, towing signal sources (reduction of density of readings of data or increasing production of interval counts). After separation of signals, obtained using simultaneous activation of signal sources, and combination of separate sets of data seismic data is obtained at design or more high density of recording of readings.
EFFECT: technical result is higher accuracy of obtained data.
