SUBSTANCE: apparatus has a seismic cable immersion depth controller and at least one height selector, which are spaced apart along the length of a tow seismic cable. The seismic cable carries receivers for measuring, for example, P- and S-waves.
EFFECT: apparatus enables depth-controlled towing of seismic detectors at a small distance over the seabed.
