SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in optical communication systems. For this purpose a data transmission system (PD) involves a payload, satellite (20) at a low Earth orbit, optical Earth terminal (30), herewith satellite (20) at the low Earth orbit is connected to optical Earth terminal (30) via optical channel (DL) of AC-to-Earth communication, and optical Earth terminal (30) is connected with satellite (20) at the low Earth orbit via channel (UC) of Earth-to-AC communication; herewith the said channel (UC) of the Earth-to-AC communication represents a channel of detection and tracking by means of ground radio beacon (GB) controlled by means of subsystem (PAT) of guidance, detection and tracking, herewith ground radio beacon (GB) has wide-angle beam (W) for detection and guidance beam (G) for tracking; herewith ground radio beacon (GB) for channel (UC) of the Earth-to-AC communication represents a channel of phase-pulse modulation (FIM).

EFFECT: technical result is better communication channels throughput.
