SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control mechanisms and actuators for grille active dampers. System of grille active dampers includes controller, sensor, which issues freezing signal to controller, when temperature is near or below freezing, and electric motor, which opens and closes plurality of dampers. Electric motor receives low current signal from controller for actuating system with first level of torque and receives high current signal to actuate system with second level of torque, when controller receives freezing signal. Precipitation signal from vehicle wipers system is supplied to controller for issuing instruction, on precipitation, present in vehicle ambient environment. Controller can issue high current signal to electric motor, only when freezing signal and atmospheric precipitation signal are issued to controller.

EFFECT: enabling improved efficiency of dampers.
