SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Disclosed is a method of decoding video, which comprises obtaining from a bit stream information on a method of determining a group of pixels, to be compensated; when information on method of determining group of pixel to be compensated is obtained, obtaining a compensation from a bit stream; when group of pixels to be compensated is determined, according to bands based on information on method of determining group of pixels to be compensated, applying a compensation value to pixel, corresponding to band among pixels of current block; and when determined group of pixels to be compensated, according to level of limit value based on information on method of determining group of pixels to be compensated, applying compensation value to pixel, corresponding to level of limiting value, among pixels of current block, wherein band is one of multiple bands, wherein multiple bands are generated by splitting overall range of pixel values of one or more pixels in current block.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of quality of reconstructed image.
