FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to broadband frequency detectors and can be used for detecting signals for control of safe operation of vehicle and radar signals for determination of vehicle speeds. Receiving unit of broadband frequency detector comprises horn antenna, configured to receive signals of specific frequencies, first amplifier, configured to receive signals with specific frequency from horn antenna, mixer unit, configured to receive signals, amplified with low noise level, from first amplifier, second amplifier, placed in parallel to first amplifier and configured to transmit signals, received from horn antenna, to mixer unit by performing their amplification with low noise level. First amplifier and second amplifier have different frequency range of amplification, wherein first amplifier is amplifier with low noise level of monolithic integrated circuit of microwave range (MMIC LNA), and second amplifier is amplifier with low noise level of pseudomorphic transistor with high electron mobility (pHEMT LNA), mixer unit is additionally capable of outputting composite signal.

EFFECT: detection of multiple frequency bands.
