FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines (ICE). Disclosed is vehicle fuel supply system (10) having fuel feed pump (14) to supply fuel from fuel tank (100), high pressure pump (12) for fuel supply to "common rail" system and located between fuel feed pump (14) and high pressure pump (12) filter (16) for fuel filtration. According to invention, fuel feed pump (14) is made controlled based on first fuel pressure upstream of filter (16) and second fuel pressure downstream of filter (16).
EFFECT: optimizing fuel feed pump power consumption and thereby improving ICE fuel efficiency.
