FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engine (ICE) feed systems. A fuel injector, mainly a fuel injector for a common rail system for fuel injection to the combustion chamber in the internal combustion engine has connection (10) of a drain pipeline or composite injection control valve element (13). Valve element (13) is installed so that it can be moved between its open and closed positions and at least partially located in high pressure cavity (8) provided in housing (19) of the fuel injector. Radially between cavity (8) and housing (19) of the fuel injector there located is annular cavity (42). Pressure of fuel in annular chamber (42) during operation of fuel injector (1) is lower at least from time to time than in high pressure cavity (8) and higher than in connection (10) of the drain pipeline. High pressure cavity (8) is hydraulically connected to annular cavity (42) by means of at least one inlet throttle (51) leading to that annular cavity (42). Annular cavity (42) is connected at least with one of its drain throttles (52) to low pressure zone (12) of fuel injector (1).
EFFECT: increase of injector strength.
