SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing film (12), containing following stages: (a) polymer material (10) plasticizing and mixing with one or more dyes with production of moulding compound (11, 11') by means of gelatinization device (2) made with dyes metering device (6); (b) optionally temporary storage of moulding compound (11') produced at stage (a); (c) molding compound (11') loading into molding device (4) and (d) producing film (12); wherein amount of dye to amount of polymer material (10) ratio is automatically controlled by means of colorimeter (7) and electronic control unit (14), and at stage (a) moulding compound (11) located in gelatinization device (2) colour parameters are measured, and transmitted in form of signal to electronic control unit (14), at stage (d) in film (12) by means of additional colorimeter (8) additional colour parameters are measured and transmitted as signal to electronic control unit (14). Invention also relates to device (1) containing gelatinization device (2) made with metering device (6) for one or more dyes and intended for polymer material (10) plastification and mixing with dye to produce moulding compound (11, 11'); colorimeter (7); connected to metering device (6) and to electronic control unit (14) colorimeter (7), intended for automatic control of dye and polymer material (10) amounts ratio; and moulding device (4) for production of film (12), wherein colorimeter (7) is capable of detecting electromagnetic radiation emitted by moulding compound (11) located in gelatinization device (2), wherein device (1) contains additional colorimeter (8), which is connected with electronic control unit (14) and which is capable of detecting electromagnetic radiation emitted by film (12).
