FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: water flow energy dissipator comprises a supply conduit 1, a discharge section of the pipeline 2, a discharge pipeline 7, equipped with a flow swirler 8. The supply pipeline 2 is designed as a confuser and is connected to the output section with the nozzle 3 expanding in cantilever manner and is built-in into the sealed housing of the chamber 4, which is formed in the shape of a torus. The outlet chamber 4 is connected with an additional built-in resistance with the inlet expanding section tapering in cantilevered manner towards the outlet of the nozzle 6, connected to the pressure pipeline 7 in the form of a diffuser with the swirler 8, towards the diverter conduit 9. Expansion and compression of fluid in the chamber 4 connected with the console nozzles 3, 6 is caused by operation of the structure of 1.5 cavity of the chamber housing 4. Thus, the dissipation of kinetic energy of the flow and further reduction of its speed depends from the selected shape of the chamber with reference to its axis.
EFFECT: improved performance in conditions of variable water level in the dissipating chamber and reliability of dissipation of kinetic energy of split and rejoined flow, eliminating the need for a well in a downstream channel.
