FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method can be used for welding of tubular parts for various intended uses using a press welding with heating by arc, regulated by magnetic field. During welding, the initial compression of pipe ends is performed for short circuit, then voltage is applied and bounce between pipes is provided, resulting in arc ignition. Pipe ends are preheated by arc rotated by magnetic field. Scum is discharged by instantaneous increase of current before setting. Setting is performed by compression of molten pipe ends and the pipe ends are held under current for their slow cooling. All stages are planned and performed using smart relay of the welding process control panel and actuators. Welding parameters are checked on the control panel using a line of sensors, the signals of which are processed, analyzed and displayed on the monitor screen.
EFFECT: method provides minimizing the power losses during welding, improves the weld quality and performance capabilities of the equipment.
