FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a field multifunctional plant for welding of pipe assemblies and may be used for piping of reservoir parks, construction of oil pumping stations complexes, gas distribution stations, when assembling process pipeline systems, etc. The plant comprises two lines (1), (2) of welding, a welding unit, a source of supply and a mobile workplace of a welder doing a root layer of a joint, made as rail tracks, where the following is installed. At each line there are roller supports with the possibility of displacement in longitudinal direction with rotators, movable and fixed ones, and faceplates installed on them. The welding unit is made of a self-propelled post of automatic welding under a layer of flux with a control panel of rotators made with the possibility to adjust speed of rotation. The specified self-propelled post is installed on a rail track with the possibility to vary height, move longitudinally along the tracks and turn by 180°. A fixed rotator is installed at one side of the line end. A rotator faceplate consists of a steel sheet of round shape with paths provided on it to move cams. On the sheet there is a stem with telescopic grip made with the possibility to grip a pipe assembly at a branch or a T-joint.

EFFECT: making it possible to weld products in wide range of diameters and thicknesses, production of a welded joint of high quality.
