FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used during indirect action arc surfacing with two consumable electrodes and metal products from alloys with special properties. Using electrodes with different chemical composition and diameter. Larger diameter electrode is connected to power supply source negative terminal, and smaller diameter is to positive terminal. Electrodes feed rate is selected in accordance with their melting rates, which are determined in advance by formula VE=(αpJ)/ρ, where αp is electrode melting coefficient in direct or reverse polarity arc, respectively, with indirect action arc current, g/(A⋅s), J is arc current density in electrode cross-section, A/cm2, ρ is electrode material density, g/cm3. Arc current, electrodes chemical composition and diameters are selected under condition of ensuring equal efficiency and equal electrodes melting rate.

EFFECT: method enables in wide range to control welding efficiency, electrode metal volume ratio in surfacing and chemical composition.
