METHOD FOR MULTI-POLARISATION MULTIPLEXING OF RADIO-FREQUENCY SPECTRUM IN RADIO SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC H04B7/00

Abstract RU 2609595 C1

FIELD: physics, communications.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used in satellite and radio communication systems, as well as in point-to-point radio lines. The method employs polarisation multiplexing of a radio system with simultaneous transmission of radio signals at the same carrier frequency, but with different polarisation, wherein the number of simultaneously transmitted signals q is equal to or greater than 2, while using at the transmitting side three or more transmitters, which emit radio signals through antennae separate for each transmitter with radio signal polarisations selected when designing the radio system, different from the polarisations of adjacent radio signals by not less than 25-30 degrees and set by the required spatial orientation of irradiators of aperture antennae or radiators of slit antennae of each transmitter when operating in the microwave range, or the required orientation of antenna dipoles when using lower frequency ranges and q receivers are used at the receiving side, the antennae of each of which are designed for receiving radio signals of the q polarisations, with pick-up at the receiving side of each of the q transmitted radio signals as a result of supplying each of the resultant voltages from the outputs of the radio-frequency channels of each of the q receivers with their separate transfer coefficients, depending on q, to inputs of each of the q adders, corresponding to numbers of said radio signals, wherein one of the q received signals is picked up at the output of each adder.

EFFECT: invention improves spectral utilisation efficiency of a radio system using one polarisation due to simultaneous transmission to a receiving point of q radio signals with the same carrier frequency, but different polarisations.
