FIELD: power industry.

SUBSTANCE: shunt reactor comprises four O-shaped magnetic circuits arranged in series. Their bases and tops are connected by yoke bridges. Three power windings are arranged so that each of them covers two lateral vertical sections of two neighbour O-shaped magnetic circuits. Biasing windings are connected to the exciter and located on the yoke bridges.

EFFECT: increased reliability and simplification, reduction of power losses.
