SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of electroplating. The method includes current supply through the alkaline bath for the electrolytic settling of the zinc alloy containing a cathode and an anode, wherein the cathode region, containing a cathode, and the anode region, containing an anode, are separated from each other by the anion-exchange membrane, the catholyte, contained in the cathode region, is an alkaline electrolyte for the electrolytic settling of the zinc alloy containing the amine-based chelating agent, and the anolyte, contained in the anode region, is an aqueous alkaline solution.
EFFECT: increase of the electrolyte lifetime, while maintaining the characteristics of the created coatings.
